My truck is about the same as my last update, but I have found a garage I can use. Its not a mechanics garage or anything but its somewhere I can work on the body panels and all the rust thats on the truck.

As for my BMW, it is currently in the shop getting new brakes and a new shift rod. I got lucky with the transmission problem since it was only the shift rod that has to be replaced, not the transmission.

Once I have my car back, I can start working on the Bronco’s body panels. You may be wondering why I have to wait..Well.. I will have to take off each panel to sand them, etc..

That is all I have for now, I’ll update once I start the body restoration.

Last week I raised around $3100 with another fire sale.

That money helped me out greatly, I was able to get brand spankin new brakes on all four wheels. It was pricey but I’m not sliding around everywhere when I touch the brakes. ($1,298.79 to be exact)

When I got the brakes put on Firestone notified me that my ball joints were in “falling off” condition. Which, if they would have fell out of the joints, my front tires would have magically come off the truck.

Lucky for me they told me about it, because they popped out a few times a day or so later.

Last Friday I took the beast in to get new ball joints put on, that was about the same price as the brakes.

With new tires for off roading, new brakes and new ball joints the Bronco cruises like a beast.

I am currently looking for a garage to rent or someone to mentor with, who has a garage, to work on the body panels.

The next big step I will be doing (besides body work) is suspension. I plan on getting off-road suspension along with a lift kit, I’m not sure on the size yet though.

I’m pretty sure my camera got stolen, luckily all the work I got done is mechanical, so there isn’t much point in taking pictures at the moment. I’ll get new ones up soon though.

First off, I purchased a new set of tires, I’m pretty pumped about that. They’re a sick set of tires, plus I’ve never actually had a brand new set of tires.

But… when I picked up the tires, I was supposed to get them installed on the car, but Expert Tire didn’t have the tools needed to get the locking lug nuts off the rims. It literally took them an hour and a half to figure that out and another hour to come to the conclusion that they couldn’t get them off at all.

That was yesterday(sunday).

Today I went into Firestone to get them put on, but guess what!? They wanted to charge me twice what expert tire was.

I’m pretty mad at this company right now, they’ve just wasted my time and made me more frustrated then I should be.

With in the next day or two, I will be ordering a set of BRAND NEW tires! woooo!! At the moment, the tires I have on it are almost completely bald. With the snow and ice.. its not fun to drive with bald tires.

And… lastly.. the other week I was driving my bmw and the transmission shot out. Which means now I have to fix two cars, I don’t know how I’m going to get the money for that though. I am working full time for my dad now, and I’m looking into getting another job.

this suxxx.

So far I haven’t got a lot done because I’ve been working (gas is expensive and a Bronco uses a lot of it. A quarter tank is $15 in the Bronco, in my BMW $20 would fill it up, I think you get my point.)

I just recently bought two 12 inch sub woofers and a 1000watt amp to go with them. I bought them for the Bronco, but my head unit isn’t powerful enough to handle the bass of my 10 inch sub with 350watt amp. It definitely won’t stand up to the 12’s and 1000watts.

The 12’s are sitting in my BMW… which at the moment has a blown transmission and is sitting on the side of a street because I don’t have money to fix it.

So now I’m just down to a huge truck with low gas millage that I have to fix up, and now I have to fix another vehicle.

This is going to be expensive. =(

I just recently purchased a Bronco and got a job at World Wide Autos. World Wide Autos is a repair shop for, mostly, foreign model cars.

I haven’t started the whole process of fixing my bronco yet, mainly because I’m still in classes and I’m still getting the feel for it. As well as I’m still checking out everything that I can find thats wrong with it.

I’ve got all new fluids for the truck though, so it should be running quite smooth.

Here are some pictures of my truck!

There’s some rust spots all around the body.. no worries though, considering that’ll be a big part of this project.

Both sides of the back end:

Left and right rear wheel wells:

I didn’t get a picture of the back seat but its in good condition. As for the back door and back window, they do not work at the moment. Heres a picture.

There is a cover that goes over that big open spot at the bottom, I took it off trying to figure out why the door doesn’t work.

Hey!! I’m Kyle Lovell!
I’m 18 years of age; I am attending my senior year at Harmony High School. I have been at Harmony since I was 3 years old, a good 15 years. Its been a very life changing experience for me, I don’t know what my personality would be like if I chose a different school.

At Harmony School, during your junior year the school gives you about a semester to prepare for your senior project. What is a senior project you might ask? During the senior year at Harmony, you get 3 months (a semester) to go out into the world and explore whatever you are interested in pursuing as a career.

I have always loved cars, inside and out, it doesn’t matter to me. On top of that, I plan to go into a career for Mechanical Engineering at Purdue. So what better opportunity do I have to take a head start pursuing the career I hope to go into? Personally, I don’t think it could get any better. I get a three month head start to prepare my life, I am very happy with it.

With my love for cars, I have decided to buy and restore an older model car. I originally wanted to buy an old muscle car and make it my baby. Instead, I’ve decided to buy a 90’s Ford Bronco and restore it back to health. Once I’ve got everything up and running, I plan to continue fixing the car up into a pure muddin’ car.

We have to fund our projects by ourselves, if that means working a 9-5 everyday, putting on fundraisers, or… both! I plan to be working a lot during my project but at the same time I’m planning an online fundraiser and I need some help. I’m going to put on a Bronco Building Sale and I need some help getting products to sell for it.

Three months of working on a car can potentially be some big money. As well as all the ideas I have for the Bronco, it could get pricey. But I’m willing to take that chance because this is what I love, and I’ll love doing it.
